Xbox Madden 10 Battles Allow You to Defeat Your Rival and Win His Dollars

You may need a crash course in football video game history, if hearing about all the innovations and improvements that Xbox Madden 10 offers still hasn't moved you. Yeah, it could be a bit cruel to constantly bag on older games as a means to elevate today's football video games. Then again, those side-by-side comparisons help underscore the fact that Xbox Madden 10 is a truly top-notch football video game. It was inevitable, given the popularity of handheld football games in the B.C. (before consoles) era, that gamers would want a video football game to satisfy their needs. Only problem was, the gamers' ideas on what a great football video game should be, versus the reality of the video game consoles' capabilities, made for a shaky compromise. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one. The characters on the gridiron are more suited to a sci-fi shooter than a football video game. What are you gonna do? The brief glance at the pic gives you a taste, but believe me, what went on during an actual game was much more horrific. Characters started flashing and blinking, thanks to the limited memory of the early game consoles and cartridges. Sound effects didn't fare much better, with the "spectators" sounding more like a car with a busted muffler. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. A serious effort was made with this next one, in order to give gamers a football video game closer to the real thing. A step in the right direction, but work needed to be done still.

No doubt, it was a real exciting time for hardcore gamers, but there was still a ways to go before football video games would dominate the industry. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. But this one, which was released in the late 80s, as part of the next generation of game consoles, really hit it big, to the point where people still love it. If you were to ask a gamer from the 90s what their favorite sports video game was, this one would crack the top 5 list.

It's relatively simple to see why it was such a mega-popular hit - before this, nobody really attempted to make a football video game that was this sophisticated. It was an amazing evolution in football video games, and this one was really a major turning point. It's one of the few "old school" games that can still excite today's crop of hardcore gamers. While worthy of praise, it still trails in the distance from Xbox Madden 10. With the great strides in gaming, football video games have reached a level worthy of the fans. So, yeah, no point in calling out the old football games. You've gotten the point. Those games had their weaknesses, but if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be playing Xbox Madden 10 today, so they did get the ball rolling. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The reviews are as positive as the reaction from the gamers themselves - it's a hit with the fans as well as the video game sites. "Realistic and enjoyable" are comments you'll see during most Xbox Madden 10 reviews. EA Sports has really concocted a Super Bowl sized hit with Xbox Madden 10, as expected.

To hell with the people who bag on Xbox Madden 10 - it truly is the best football video game out there. Xbox Madden 10 isn't just a great Xbox sports video game - it's an all-around great Xbox video game. It's the favorite of hardcore gamers, and with good cause. If you're really ready to show your stuff, you can separate yourself from the pack and face off for big bucks. The stakes have been raised, and Xbox Madden 10 maniacs now can take each other on for some serious cash. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
